The Broken Guidance System is one of the rarer recyclable items in Arc Raiders, and it's especially useful if you're working on crafting upgrades. It's mainly used to produce Processors, which are required for certain weapon improvements and expedition projects later in the game. Each unit weighs about 3 kg and you can stack up to three in your inventory. When recycled back at your Raider Den, a single one gives you four Processors, which makes it a valuable find for players trying to push through mid- to late-game progression ARC Raiders Items.
One of the most reliable places to look is the Stella Montis map. The industrial section there is packed with factories and mechanical equipment, which means more chances for high-tech recyclable items to appear. The Assembly Workshop is usually the first place players check. It sits in the upper industrial area and is easy to recognize from the factory icons shown on the deployment screen. Because the building sits near the center of the zone, it tends to attract both Raiders and ARC enemies, so it's rarely quiet for long.
Inside the workshop, there's a bright yellow container that many players use as a reference point. Around that area you'll find several drawers, cabinets, and other containers that can spawn rare materials. The Broken Guidance System often shows up in white drawers between rooms, blue cabinets, or near pieces of industrial machinery. Sometimes it can also appear around server racks that you can breach. It looks like a bulky piece of scrap at first glance, so it's easy to overlook if you're rushing.
Not every raid will have one, since loot spawns rotate, but quick runs through the workshop usually give better results than slowly clearing the entire map. Many players simply enter the area, check the drawers and cabinets near the yellow container, and leave if nothing appears. Before looting, it's worth clearing nearby ARC enemies because ticks and patrols often wander through the tight hallways.
Although Stella Montis is the most consistent place, Broken Guidance Systems can also appear on other maps that have industrial zones. Areas in Spaceport, Dam, and Exodus sometimes produce them as well, especially in rooms filled with machinery or tech equipment. When looking at the map preview before deployment, the factory icon usually marks areas with similar loot pools. These locations aren't always as reliable as Stella Montis, but they can be good alternatives if the workshop becomes too crowded with other players.
Running light gear can make farming easier. Speed matters more than heavy protection for these quick runs. A simple shotgun or SMG works well for clearing enemies in close spaces, and tools like breach charges or lockpicks help open server cabinets that might contain additional tech items. The goal is to move quickly: check the containers, grab what you need, and head toward extraction.
If you do find a Broken Guidance System, it's usually best not to linger too long. The item sells for around 2,000 Raider Coins, and rare loot tends to attract trouble if other players realize someone nearby found something valuable. Extracting early is often the safest option. Back at your base you can recycle it for four Processors, which are more valuable for crafting than the coins you would get from selling it.
Players sometimes mistake other scrap items for the Broken Guidance System, especially when looting quickly during a fight. Getting familiar with the drawers and cabinets near the yellow container in the Assembly Workshop helps speed things up. If you don't find one, extracting quickly and starting another run usually resets the loot tables faster than staying in the raid hoping for another spawn buy ARC Raiders Coins.
Once you get into the habit of running these routes, the process becomes pretty routine. Instead of hoping for lucky finds, you'll know exactly where to check and how to get in and out quickly. Over time those runs add up, giving you a steady supply of Processors for crafting and expedition progress.
